Valencia is the European Green Capital for 2024. Valencia, the greenest city in Europe, has officially taken the torch from Tallinn on the Baltic shores of Estonia to the sunny Spanish Mediterranean. “Valencia has earned the Green Capital title due to its ambitious sustainability strategy, learning from past experiences,” says Virginijus Sinkevičius, EU Commissioner for Environment, Oceans, and Fisheries.
